As everyone is aware the Repeater is down. it seems that it has a technical problem that cannot be delt with remotely, therefor there is a need to physically address the problem at the source. There are a list of procedures that must be executed before access to the equipment can be granted. I am in the process of gaining the authorization needed to repair the system. This will include notifying our Technicians and the Climber and setting a date to access the Tower.
As we move thru this process I will update the Membership on the progress.
I would like to thank the Members for their ongoing Support and understanding. Hopefully there is a simple solution to the problem, however there will be a period of down time, how much is to be determined.

We will convene a meeting of the Repeater Committee as sone as possible and move forward with the with the motion that was carried by the Club

Feel free to call me at anytime.

I will see you on the Radio

Thanks for the update Ted. It seems like this might be the time to implement some of the changes that have been discussed for a very long time. I suspect we are not in a position to take on this task. I appreciate all that the repeater folks do for the club membership on the repeaters. 73

I would hope to have a full and detailed update on the situation at the next meeting, or hold a specific meeting regarding the matter. Update on where we are in the process, what parts have been completed and estimated time frame of completion. If additional help is needed I volunteer to do whatever I can.
I appreciate those who are working on it, but I'm not ashamed to say I'm frustrated. I became life member during fundraiser for the repeater, and was there to vote in support of the expenditure, but the project has not appeared to have advanced since that day. Now the repeater has failed and the pressure has mounted to move forward. Luckily I have the financial means and help to get the equipment to access the 485c, but many do not have such means or help. And many others are simply not interested in the digital aspect of amateur radio, and there is nothing wrong with that. Im not downplaying the amount of work to accomplish the process, but for what I'm hearing from many people, is how unclear they are on what's happening.
I feel we need, at least I personally expect, more clarity, transparency and accountability in the matter, now and in the future.
Thank you for your attention in the matter. Craig KK1RR
