Code Plug

Good morning,

I just purchased one of this radios, it will be here tomorrow and I will be working on a codeplug for it in the next few days. As soon as I have a file I will share a link here.
 
Howdy,

I received the radio yesterday and ran into a big snafu trying to create a codeplug. My computer at home are all apple computers, I have a virtual machine installed to run Windows applications. For some odd reason this radio will not communicate with the CPS on the virtual machine. I tried two different cables that I have been able to work with other radios and software with no luck. I was able to enter some settings from the front panel. Until I can get the radio to talk to the CPS or procure a windows computer, this might take me a bit longer to program. :/
 
I have had good luck using Chirp , key is find correct radio model etc uv5r or other Hong Kong Harry model number. I havecrossed loaded models number not same model number but close using Chirp on Baefengs an works no problem

i do have a few for Baefends welcome to try any of them. I have some Hugh Hong Kong Harry plugs for Baofends including marine an gmrs

Notice if it’s a Baefeng the program cables are a real problem XXX I always have problem an havee to spur h between the number of cables I have to get one to work. Baefeng knock off there own stuff some work some don’t. Welcome to try the few i got one may work😜

Thank you Boots, unfortunately CHIRP doesn't support DMR radios so it is limited to be programmed by the stock CPS provided by Baofeng. :(
