The “Getting to Know You” net – Why should you participate?
Unless you listen to the radio 24/7 it’s virtually impossible to know much, if anything, about your fellow operators.
You’ve already surmised that these other operators have an interest in Ham Radio but what else about them might encourage an extended friendship?
As part and parcel of this net and over a period of months participants will be asked non-intrusive questions. Questions like - married/single, children/grandchildren, why Ham, wish list and so on.
Hopefully you will share tidbits about yourself when asked and continue throughout the net to listen to question responses offered by others.
None or your responses will be recorded or documented by either Net Control or the scribe.
As mentioned, from time to time, we are a “Hamily”. Don’t you want to know a little more about your brothers and sisters? If you do, starting in September, join us the third Wednesday night of every month at 8PM on the 450!
