444.450 Down

I have downed the W4CQ repeater to thwart an attempt to burn it down.

It will return before drivetime tomorrow AM.

I tried to return the W4CQ repeater to service this morning, and the cycling transmission persists.

I am unsure if this is a controller error, or QRM of some nature.

I am asking everyone to please listen to 449.450 with your squelch off and see if we can pinpoint the QRM (if it exists).

The QRM will sound like silence interrupting the static in a on/off pattern.

Please call me at 7048070158 if you can detect this signal.

Thanks

If you have a vero radio set up for remote operation, please shut it down until we find this source of QRM.

There is a theory that this could be an echo in the VERO network looping.

KQ4UHS discovered that his vero would go off into a TX loop when "audio relay" in the general settings was turned on.

Click Here is a video of the problem.
